Pakwo Shum has gained distinction as an entrepreneur and the visionary behind the start-up and development of more than half a dozen companies, bringing each enterprise to rapid and sustained profits and commercial success since 1988.

In August 2006, he founded Aviation Alliance Limited to represent Delta Air Lines as Ghana’s dedicated General Sales Representative and has since led the company to win the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana 2008, 2010 and 2012 Airline of the Year Awards. Aviation Alliance now represents Delta Air Lines in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cote D’Ivoire, and Niger.

He is also the founder of Shum & Co, a company that has promoted the start-up of businesses including Air Partners Liberia, Mangifera Energy, Travel King, Adeva Gold Resources, Ghana’s first on-demand dry-cleaning company, Laundry Chief, and Laurus.

Pakwo Shum holds membership in a number of organizations including Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) and the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

He has served on boards of organizations including African Entrepreneurs Hub, AI Energy, Webster University Ghana, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Ghana and attended the Ghana International School. Pakwo Shum is married and has two daughters.
