Tom Wright

Position: Board Secretary
Categories: International Team

From Navy service aboard the USS Ranger and USS Carl Vinson during Desert Storm/Desert Shield to founding multiple businesses, Tom Wright’s journey is one built on faith, perseverance, and purpose.

In 1999, he established Built Wright Construction, which grew into a network of companies spanning school construction, real estate development, and wedding venues.

Tom has been an active member of Gideons International since 2019, serving as Vice President and now President of the Waco Camp. His leadership extends to the International Finance Committee, where he is serving his third term. He also played a key role as the Local Committee Chair for the 2021 Texas State Convention in Waco.

Beyond Gideons, Tom has faithfully served in his church and community. His heart for ministry led him to found The Lord’s Work & Our Hospice House, merging faith and business to serve others.

The challenges of running multiple businesses, leading ministries, and balancing family life would be impossible without a foundation built on faith. He’s learned that real success isn’t just measured in profits, but in people, purpose, and an eternal return on investment. Tom Wright isn’t just building businesses—he’s building for the Kingdom.

For Tom, his greatest legacy is his family—his wife Margie of nearly 32 years, their three daughters, and three grandsons. He believes that business is a ministry and leadership is a calling, proving that when God is CEO, everything changes.

He traveled to Ghana with our President and CSO to witness and celebrate the tenth anniversary of the God as CEO Business Encounter and has since become a part of our team.
